Matt Hollywood’s Illusions Magic Show on the Gold Coast will make your troubles disappear

If you’re looking for a drug-free night where you’ll still be tripping, I recommend booking VIP tickets to Matt Hollywood’s Illusions Magic Show; although it’s been rumoured that Matt Hollywood doesn’t really exist. Rumour has it that he’s a figure of the imagination, an illusion that can disappear in the blink of an eye. He sure had me scratching my head when one minute he was on stage and the next he was sitting in the audience after escaping the jaws of death.

Matt Hollywood is an extraordinary entertainer, comedian and master illusionist. The only criticism I have is the appalling manner in which he treats his glamourous assistant, Kristy. It’s stressful to watch her being locked in a tiny box whilst the heartless Matt proceeds to pierce numerous swords through the box. On another occasion Matt confines Kristy inside another tiny box and torturously twists her body like a pretzel. Not once does she complain. The only relief she gets is when Matt chooses his next victim from the audience. An unsuspecting woman, minding her own business and trying to look inconspicuous, was plucked out of the audience and laid on the sacrificial table. To our complete amazement, seconds later, she began to levitate.

Matt’s unscrupulous behaviour includes pick-pocketing a wallet from an unsuspecting audience member, then setting it on fire. His cheekiness extends to hiding his hanky in the most unconventional places. Ladies, make sure you wear a brassiere. Enough said.

Matt is full of surprises and is sure to baffle even the most sceptical party pooper with his jaw-dropping, unbelievable and completely amazing magic tricks. Yes, he even does magic card tricks and mind-reading tricks that go beyond comprehension.

Matt Hollywood’s audience interaction gives the show a personal touch. Be prepared for anything to happen. If you’ve been trying to think of a special birthday idea for your child, consider attending Matt Hollywood’s Illusions Magic Show. Your child may end up the star of the show as was the case with a five-year-old boy in the audience who was celebrating his birthday. He was escorted onto the stage to assist Matt with some hilarious tricks. His reward was a magic show bag and by the look on his face when he left the stage his experience made it an especially memorable birthday celebration.

Matt’s generosity and appreciation of his audience is apparent by the way he makes the effort to not only greet his guests before the show but also at the end of his show where he gives everyone the opportunity to take photographs with him and Kristy and get their poster signed. Special magic show bags are on offer to purchase for those keen magicians.

I thoroughly enjoyed the show and recommend it as a fun night out for all ages. A pre-dinner option is available to make the night extra special. You may want to consider booking VIP tickets. Why, you ask? Well…you’ll have a pretty good chance of being targeted for some hocus-pocus. So, I suggest you wear your best threads just in case. VIPs also get to enter and be seated first and they are given a token which entitles them to complimentary snacks and a drink. As if that’s not enough VIPs get a special bag of gourmet chocolates when they enter the theatre to be seated.
