The event has been held as a resounding success, having attracted big names in the fashion industry such as photographer Mario Testino and fashion consultant Yasmin Sewell. Australian Fashion Chamber Chair and Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Australia, Edwina McCann commented, ‘This is an incredible export opportunity for these designers and has the potential to help expand their businesses globally.’ Exposing their talents to international media and buyers, this is the second Australian Designers Abroad event in Paris, with the hope that such international exposure will provide a platform for local designers to find success in overseas markets.
