Mischief Theatre to bring Olivier winning The Play That Goes Wrong to Australia in February

Currently playing to packed houses in London’s West End, Mischief Theatre‘s “masterpiece of malfunction” will tour Australia for the first time in February 2017.

A highly physical, slapstick comedy, in the tradition of good old British farce, The Play That Goes Wrong was written by Mischief Theatre members Henry Lewis, Jonathan Sayer, and Henry Shields.

Following the Cornley Polytechnic Drama Society as they attempt to stage a 1920s murder mystery, the play is also bound for Broadway next year.

Original London director Mark Bell has been holding auditions in Australia to lock down the perfect cast for the upcoming tour.

The Play That Goes Wrong will open in Melbourne on February 22nd, and will also visit Adelaide, Sydney, Canberra, Brisbane, and Perth.
