Making A Murderer attorneys to tour Australia

Netflix fans rejoice! Dean Strang and Jerry Buting, defence attorneys on binge watch favourite Making A Murderer will visit Australia later this year, speaking to audiences across the country about the show and the American legal system. Australian fans are invited to watch and participate in a moderated discussion and Q&A session with the two lawyers, with five dates set for early November.

For the uninitiated, controversial Netflix original Making A Murderer is a ten part series following the story of Steven Avery, a Wisconsin man convicted, then exonerated of the attempted murder of Penny Beernsten, only to be arrested two years later in connection to the murder of Teresa Haibach.

Filmed over ten years by Laura Ricciardi and Moira Demos, the show has become something of a cult hit, and Strang and Buting, Avery’s lawyers during the Halbach case, are key figures throughout.

Strang and Buting’s speaking tour A Conversation on Making A Murderer begins in Perth on November 1st, with events taking place in Sydney, Adelaide, Brisbane, and Melbourne.
Tickets go on sale Tuesday 19th April.
