Banksy exhibition unveiled in Melbourne, but we still don’t know who Banksy is!

After a viral video caused the media to spiral into a frenzy about the alleged sighting of renowned street artist Banksy, we can confirm it was absolutely not him.

So who is Banksy? Well, we still don’t know.

It doesn’t really matter in a sense because the work speaks for itself. Today, an 80-piece exhibition opens in Melbourne exploring the inner workings of Banksy’s mind.

Most of the work covers various social and political issues on a global scale, and to see some of the iconic works right in front of you is a real pinch yourself moment.

Former manager to Banksy Steve Lazarides, has curated this incredible collection and amazingly, it is the largest collection of Banksy artworks to ever reach our shores.

As we strolled through the purpose-built space we felt the flow and energy of London’s streets, but at the same time a sense of stillness.

Some of the works can be quite confronting in their messaging, yet others provided comic relief and a soft giggle.
